Fishing
In the untouched places of Siberia
I am Alexander Gulyaev and for 10 years I’ve traveled through the untouched places of Siberia. It resulted in one-of-a-kind fishing trip where you cover all possible water bodies in one destination, namely: the plain Amur River, the mountain rivers of the Amur basin, the mountain rivers of the marine basin.
Amur River
—one of the richest rivers in the world in terms of the number of fish species (about 130 species). Several predatory endemics live here: yellowcheek, skygazer, Chinese bass, zander, Mongolian redtail, flathead asp and the Amur pike, perhaps, are the most famous of them.
Mountain rivers of the Amur and marine basins
—the only place in the world where one can catch 2 only-existing species of taimen within one trip (Siberian and Sea Run taimen), which live at a distance of 20 km from each other.
Mountain rivers of the Amur and marine basins
—the only place in the world where one can catch 2 only-existing species of taimen within one trip (Siberian and Sea Run taimen), which live at a distance of 20 km from each other.
The tour is private, so no more than 3-4 people are allowed. All the attention of the guide will be only for you!
Main advantages:

Untouched nature
We’ll go fishing in places where no human has ever set foot, and the fish population has remained at its natural level.

The opportunity to catch at least 10 species of fish
We will cover 3 different types of water bodies within one trip, significantly expanding the variety of our throphy species!

Let’s take a ride on an unusual vehicle
We will be transported to the fishing spot on a tracked all-terrain vehicle, an airboat with a propeller and a speedboat.

Warming bathhouse
We will relax and share our impressions after a busy day. We will take a steam bath in the camp-type and Russian village saunas.

Individual approach
The tour is designed under your wishes, and we work together with each client to help you get a guaranteed catch!

Siberian delicacies
Our meals will include local gifts: wild meat, fish, red caviar, seafood and others.

All included
From the moment you arrive in the city of Khabarovsk, you don’t incur any extra expenses.
Intinerary
  • Day 1:
Arrival in Khabarovsk and transfer to the fishing spot
    Program:
We will meet you at the Khabarovsk airport, load your belongings into the car and drive to the village located on the Amur bank.
As a rule, flights arrive in the morning, so after an hour and a half we stop for breakfast at a roadside cafe.
The journey will take approximately 9 hours (340 km on an asphalt highway and 270 km on a good quality gravel road).
During the journey, we get acquainted with you and the peculiarities of fishing in Siberia. We will pass many rivers and reservoirs, and we will also cross the Sikhote-Alin mountain range with you.
At this stage, your acquaintance with Siberian nature will already begin, the landscapes of which will brighten up a relatively long journey. In the evening, we get to the village on the Amur bank, load our things into a boat and go to the next village by water (about 30−40 minutes).
In this village we will be based for the next 3 days of fishing.
  • Day 2 & 4:
    Fishing on the Amur River
    Program:
Wake up at 4 a.m., breakfast.
By 5 o’clock, you and I will be on the bank of the river.
Then we get into a boat with ready-to-go fishing tackles and go to the fishing spot.
If there are several of you, then after getting to know the fishing spot and explaining all the features of the river, I’ll put you in points and work with everyone individually to achieve the result.
Fishing will take place both from the boat and from the bank, depending on the fishing point.
We will determine the time of lunch and dinner with you based on the situation. As a rule, in the summer months we will fish from about 5 a.m. to 12 p.m., then we will return to the village for lunch. If necessary, you can take a break.
By 4 p.m., you and I will be back on the water and fishing almost until sunset. This is due to the fact that some predators feed almost until nightfall.
We will fish with you for different predators in different spots. At the end of the day, over dinner, we will discuss the plan for the next day based on the results of the previous day and your wishes. There can be quite a lot of options, since the Amur is a large river and its species composition is also large.
In recent years, a lot of trophy zander has appeared in these places (it was brought from the west of the country in the Soviet years). If you wish, we can set aside some time to catch it.
Our main goal these days is yellowcheek, skygazer, Amur pike, Mongolian redtail, flathead asp, Chinese bass, zander, if possible — siberian trout, Siberian taimen and grayling.
  • Day 5:
Transfer to the mountain river of the sea basin and fishing
    Program:
Wake up at 7 a.m., breakfast.
Then we pack up and leave at about 8:30−9 a.m. for the base location of the ATTV for further transfer to the salmon river. The transfer time to the ATTV will take approximately an hour.
At around 10 a.m., you and I are loading things into an all-terrain vehicle and heading out onto the river. The trip through the taiga forest takes about 2−2.5 hours
During the trip, we discuss the fishing plan for the day (depending on the month, the starting point of fishing may be higher or lower along the river).
Upon arrival at the river, we board an airboat and descend to our camping spot for the next 3 days. Depending on the starting point of the fishing trip, the rafting will take from 10 to 30 minutes. While driving along the river, it is already possible to fish
At about 2 pm we will be there and start fishing with you, while the guides set up camp and cook lunch
The camp will be several heated (if necessary) comfortable tents.
If there are several of you, then after getting to know the fishing spot and explaining all the features of the salmon river, I will place you at fishing spots and work with each one individually to achieve the result.
We will determine the time of lunch and dinner with you depending on the situation. Between meals on this and the following days, we will fish.
Our goal for these days is Sea run taimen, which is the rarest salmon in the world, white-spotted char, Dolly Varden, arctic char, cherry salmon, dog salmon and pink salmon.
